Online Action Day: Greening Europe’s Economy

Greening_europes_economyThe project “Greening Europe’s Economy” was initiated by UnternehmensGrün to support the European-wide transition towards a sustainable and climate-friendly economy. We wish to promote research and innovation and to encourage a future-proof economy able to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The project aims at facilitating a Green Economy on a European level by supporting eco-entrepreneurs being key actors in transforming the economy towards sustainability. We set up a survey that gives us an opportunity to hear what eco-entrepreneurs in Europe need for creating and successfully running a sustainable business. What are the main obstacles? What role do consumer play? And many more questions asking about the challenges of everyday business. Numerous Entrepreneurs and Start-ups participated European-wide to help us greatly to further improve our work in bringing forward a sustainable economy on the national and European level.

On our Online Action Day, we carried out a Twitter interview with Reinhard Bütikofer, MEP, talking about Green Economy. The whole interview can be found on Twitter under the hashtag #greenquestions. Please find some impressions here.
